Our Process

At Blue Hills Construction, we want the building process to feel clear and manageable from the very first conversation to the day you get your keys. Whether you’re building an RTM home, a modular home, or a custom site-built home on your Saskatchewan or Alberta property, here’s what the journey looks like:

1. Initial Conversation
We start by talking through your vision, including layout, location, timeline, and budget, along with whether an RTM, modular, or site-built home is the right fit for your project.
2. Rough Estimate
Based on that conversation, we put together a rough estimate so you have a realistic budget range before investing in detailed design work.
3. Design-Build Stage
A $4,000 design-build fee covers your custom layout and revisions, and 50% of that fee is credited back if you build with us.
4. Planning & Selections
This is where the details take shape: foundation options, finishes, windows, flooring, fixtures, and mechanical planning, all confirmed ahead of your final quote.
5. Final Quote
Once your plans and selections are locked in, we prepare a detailed quote so you know exactly what is included. One quote, one price, no surprises.
6. Client Care Handoff
Your project is handed to our Client Care Team, who becomes your main point of contact for scheduling, selections, and communication as your home moves into construction.
7. Construction
Your home moves through foundation work, framing, rough-ins, insulation, and finishing, all coordinated by our Project Management Team.
8. Move, Set, or Site Completion
RTM homes are transported and set on your foundation, while site-built homes are completed on location, including any remaining exterior or utility work.
9. Final Walkthrough & Possession
Before handing over the keys, we walk through the finished home with you to check every detail and answer any last questions.
